Respa beds nestled in Oldcastle in the heart of Co. Meath is a thriving family business since 1947. Respa has been producing premium handmade beds for over seventy years. The site has multiple warehouses with no network infrastructure with a need to update on-site equipment Respa required a networking expert, who could provide structured cabling – fibre optic design and consultancy.
We (SenSys) deployed a fibre backbone with Dell networking switches, around the whole site in seven separate locations due to the maximum length of CAT 5 of 90 metres. The remote warehouses were connected back through a Comnet Multi point to point link to ensure the whole site has Internet connectivity. This has allowed Respa to upgrade to a VoIP network providing significant savings and utilising the structured cabling infrastructure.
For the first phase of the project we installed the backbone of the fibre network, and linked the Dell network switches by SFP ports, which then allowed us to install a full CAT 5e network.
Our highly skilled structured cabling team is well-versed and delivered this project for Respa on time, within budget and to the very highest standards.
“Very very tidy work, the SenSys engineers are a credit to the company. I couldn’t recommend SenSys and the engineers enough. Now that we have a full network set up this will greatly improve our production, and I look forward to working on future projects with the SenSys team.”
