The Problem

On the back of successful growth and expansion, Deane Roofing and Cladding Ltd outgrew their office of 20 years. A new purpose-built building was constructed in early 2020. From the outset, the team at Deane Roofing wanted to implement the best and smartest technology at the new facility in order to optimize their business processes and customer experience.

Located in the West of Ireland, the business needed to ensure high speed, high-quality communications systems including supporting applications for resource-heavy business information modeling systems (BIM) Bluebeam & Rivit, large file transfers and storage, accounting & payroll software

The business invited advice and assistance implementing a coordinated and unified approach to hardware/devices & software, particularly securely accessible file management. Items for review included:

  • integration with BIM, Sage, time management systems
  • Provision for ongoing support and maintenance was required including backups and failovers
  • Internet connectivity issues relating to upload & download speeds required investigating and new solutions

The Solution

SenSys Technology was able to deliver an end-to-end solution involving expertise from across our group. This included networking and broadband, office tech kit out, conference room technology, CRM phone system & hosting, routers and switched, and managed IT support.


100Mb/s dedicaated internet service on 1Gb/s fiber

A proposal was completed following a visit by SenSys technicians to investigate broadband issues at the new premises. Our key recommendations included:

  • Installation of fiber service delivered via cost-effective high bandwidth 1Gb/s fiber bearer with options for standard ethernet and optical connections
  • Fully symmetric uncontended service
  • Recommended the cutting back of some trees to increase signal
  • Installation of a dedicated wireless link to the building
  • Installation of network termination unit with multiple ports to support services such as internet, SIP/VoIP, access to data centres or other offices
  • Carrier-grade service level agreements offer total peace of mind for network availability, resilience, and performance.
  • Proactive monitoring and alerting
  • Cabling for the new build was installed by their own electrician
  • SenSys in-house team Cat 5 & Cat 6 design and installation, where required

CRM Phone System – 3cx & hosting & support

A 3CX system was chosen for Deane Roofing as it comes with a lot of key features right out of the box. The system can be hosted on-premise or in the cloud, whichever the client prefers. It’s perfect for managing phone calls for staff in the office, working remotely and out on the road. Phone calls can be made and answered using smart apps and desktop web clients. The system allows for call recording and PCI compliance.

3CX incorporates a ‘call flow designer’ for clever routing of calls, and a data analytics dashboard. The system makes the creation of webinars & remote meetings easy with its intuitive interface.

Live chat integrations for websites ensure that customer relationship management is second to none.

Financially, the introduction of a 3CX will reduce the cost of phone bills significantly.

Conference system

Our team installed the full conference room package which included 86” LG screens, microphone, and phone. The conference room is linked to the phone system using 3cx web meetings and also has the capability of using MS Teams video conferencing.

With the building networks complete, and broadband redirected to gain better connectivity, the team installed Meraki routers and SenSys Wi-Fi access points & network switches.

Meraki Firewalls were enabled. The Meraki firewall was paired with the Meraki advanced security licence which adds advanced malware protection and intrusion detection and prevention.
